BORN FROM
A PROMISE.

Michel Chirivi was founded by Mike Chirivi in 2021, born from a lifelong connection to mechanics, automotive culture, watchmaking and design.

More than the name of an independent Swiss watchmaking house, Michel Chirivi carries a deeply personal meaning: it is the name of the founder’s father.

Shortly before his passing in 2022, Mike promised him that the project would bear his name, turning the house into the continuation of a family story shaped by creativity, engineering and transmission.

La Grande Stradale embodies this heritage, bringing together movement, mechanical understanding and automotive inspiration while expressing something more enduring : memory, continuity and the passing of passion from one generation to the next.

01 / THE FOUNDER

BUILT AROUND
PASSION.

Born in Delémont in 1980 to Italian parents, Mike Chirivi trained as a polymechanic before working across both the automotive and watchmaking industries.

His path moved naturally between machines and precision: automotive, horological polishing, aircraft pilot and an independent study of watchmaking, physics and astrophysics as well as art and design.

That multidisciplinary background ultimately led him to conceive not only La Grande Stradale, but also its MC-01 calibre and the technical language that defines the house.

TECHNIQUE IS THE LANGUAGE.

Automotive culture brings tension, movement and structural thinking. Swiss watchmaking brings precision, longevity and mastery of detail.

At Michel Chirivi, design and engineering are developed as one. Every line, proportion and mechanical solution must have a purpose, from the architecture of the case and bracelet to the construction of the MC-01 calibre.

02 / SWISS ORIGIN

ROOTED IN SWITZERLAND.

Born in the Swiss Jura, Michel Chirivi develops its watches within the region's watchmaking ecosystem.

Being 100% made in Switzerland is approached not simply as a statement of origin, but as a commitment to specialised expertise, proximity and responsible production : including Swiss circular material sourcing and sapphire originating from Delémont.

A local network of partners allows design, materials and manufacturing to remain closely connected.
