LA GRANDE
STRADALE

01 / DESIGN DNA

AUTOMOTIVE DNA. REBUILT FOR
THE WRIST.

Every reference begins with function.

The circular case draws inspiration from traditional pocket watches, preserving a distinctly horological core, while the attached lugs transform its silhouette into a structure reminiscent of the tubular chassis of 1960s and 1970s sports cars.

This automotive language continues throughout the watch, from the wheel-and-tyre-inspired crown to the chapter ring and indices, whose rhythm recalls classic car speedometers and dashboard instrumentation.

WHEEL-INSPIRED CROWN

Wheel and tyre geometry.

SPEEDOMETER-INSPIRED INDICES

Chapter ring and indices derived from automotive instrumentation.

TUBULAR CHASSIS LUGS

Inspired by 1960s–70s sports cars.

02 / THE DIAL

PAST.
PRESENT.
FUTURE.

The dial is built around a symbolic reading of time.

Its centre represents the present. On one side, straight aerodynamic lines suggest a past already traced. On the other, intersecting paths evoke the choices and possibilities that shape what comes next.

Two finishes reinforce the contrast: a satin surface with automotive airflow lines and a textured field reminiscent of quilted upholstery.
This is not simply a dial pattern.

It is a representation of movement through time.

03 / THE HANDS

MECHANICS
MADE VISIBLE.

The hands take their geometry directly from the crankshaft, connecting rod and piston assembly.

At 10:10, their position recalls the architecture of a V-engine, transforming the brutality of an engine into a watchmaking signature unique to Michel Chirivi.

The finishing of each hand is carried out entirely by hand by a skilled artisan in Switzerland.

04 / CALIBRE MC - 01

REDUCED TO
THE ESSENTIAL.

The manually wound MC-01 rejects visual complexity for clarity.

Its architecture deliberately conceals the winding mechanism, bridge screws and several technical elements in order to preserve a cleaner, more controlled composition.

Across the mainplate, the distinctive Houlage finish creates a wave-like movement inspired by the sea seen from a coastal road.

The bridges reinterpret the letter M, while the gear train recalls the geometry of a vintage steering wheel.

Its finishes are carried out entirely by hand by a skilled artisan in Switzerland.

05 / THE BRACELET

STRUCTURE
IN MOTION.

The titanium bracelet reinterprets the letter M through every link.

Its openings recall automotive air intakes while allowing air to circulate around the wrist. The bracelet is conceived as part of the watch's architecture rather than as an element added afterwards.

The deployant clasp is designed without springs, reducing components exposed to long-term corrosion and infiltration.

06 / THE PACKAGING

THE EXPERIENCE,
EXTENDED

The experience does not end with the watch.

Inspired by the automotive world, the presentation box reinterprets the form of a gear-shift knob, extending the same mechanical language beyond the timepiece itself.

Crafted from aluminium and solid premium wood, it was conceived not simply as packaging, but as an object in its own right, designed to protect, present and display the watch with the same attention given to every component of La Grande Stradale.

From the watch to the box that holds it, nothing was treated as an afterthought.
